Monica Gross, RRT
Patient Care & Office Coordinator

Monica Gross is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with more than 25 years of experience in respiratory care. At Lungs at Work, she conducts pulmonary testing for coal miners in both clinical and outreach settings, ensuring each evaluation meets American Thoracic Society (ATS) standards.

In addition to patient testing, Monica helps coordinate care, prepare medical documentation, and support the claims process for miners pursuing federal black lung benefits. She works closely with the clinical and legal team to ensure records are clear, accurate, and supportive of each miner’s case.

After years in acute care, Monica felt called to focus her skills on serving coal miners with complex, long-term respiratory conditions. She understands that the process of filing for black lung benefits can feel overwhelming, and she is committed to making it as smooth and personal as possible.

Monica takes pride in the human side of service — ensuring miners reach a live person, receive clear answers, and feel supported every step of the way.

Outside of work, she enjoys puzzles, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.
