Lungs at Work is an orgainzational member of the NCBLRDC. Lynda Glagola, Founder of Lungs at Work, has served four terms as chair of the NCBLRDC.
The staff at Lungs at Work also works closely with DOL to assist miners and their survivors with their Black Lung Benefits Claims.
National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Lungs at Work is registered with NIOSH to provide spirometry testing to active miners. NIOSH is a research agency focused on the study of worker safety and health, and empowering employers and workers to create safe and healthy workplaces.
An outreach project of The Southwest Mining Health Center, which is focused on promoting the health and safety of all miners in the Southwest United States.
