Donna Earnest serves as a Benefits Counselor at Lungs at Work, guiding miners and their families through the process of filing for federal black lung benefits. With many years of customer service experience and prior work supporting miners and benefit programs, she understands both the paperwork and the people behind it.

Donna works closely with miners to complete applications, gather required documentation, and move confidently through each step of the claims process. She knows the system can feel overwhelming and frustrating, and she takes pride in helping simplify it so miners don’t have to navigate it alone.

Drawn to Lungs at Work by its mission to serve and support hardworking coal miners, Donna brings both compassion and dedication to her role. Her heart for helping others extends beyond the office through volunteer work with her church and community.

Originally from West Virginia and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, Donna has long been connected to coal mining communities and understands firsthand how hard miners have worked for their families. She is honored to make this process a little easier for them.
